Church is more than a two-hour gathering on a Sunday. Church is not only a crowd gathered around a stage, but a Community sharing life together.

As disciples of Jesus, we make it our aim to be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did. Through teaching, practice, community, and the Holy Spirit, we are learning what it means to be a disciple of Jesus - together. As the family of God, we take time each week to study Scripture, pray, worship, and encourage one another.
What to Expect at Horizon Church
Whether this is your first time visiting or you have been here before, we want you to know you are welcome here and you are loved by Jesus. It's been said that every ministry has its own unique thumbprint. If you have visited various churches, you know this to be true. Our desire is that through this website you will gain a sense of our heart and vision, as well as become familiar with the various ministries that take place within our church body and Jaco. The teaching is relevant and the worship is passionate, in a warm and casual environment. Wherever you are in life, we have a place for you to connect with God and with people. We hope you join us at a weekend service and consider making us your church family.

We believe God is worthy of all praise, reverence, and love. We take special time to worship Him in Church with song. It is our goal to worship Him with our whole lives as well; at home, at work, at school, at play. Our vision for worship is to create an environment where people can encounter the Living God. We strive to do this through prayer, worship, giving, and the study of God's Word. We believe that anyone who truly comes to know God will love God and express that love for Him.

Horizon Kids
At Horizon Church, our children's ministry is an exciting and vital ministry. It is a launching pad for nurturing the faith of the next generation. Horizon Kids serves as a place of prayer for children, a place where they hear foundational Bible stories, and a place where children learn simple Biblical truth statements.
We consider it a great privilege and responsibility to reach and teach these little ones for Him!

Horizon Youth
Jesus’ ministry on earth was spent hanging out with a rag tag team of 12 teenagers that changed the course of human history. At Horizon Church we seek to train and equip leaders to follow in Jesus’ footsteps as they are encouraged to walk with youth in our community. We believe if today’s youth are given a space to encounter God in an authentic way, then they too can impact the world for God’s Kingdom.
Our youth meets every Thursdays at 5:00PM in the Youth Room Upstairs.

Teaching
The bible
We believe that the teaching of God’s word is to play a central role in our worship gatherings through both the public reading of scripture and the teaching of the word.
​
All of us are looking for wisdom and insight on how to navigate the complexities of our lives and how to live in a way that humbly and faithfully honors God. Our preaching is designed to engage with God's Word, provide cultural understanding, practical application and personal formation so that we learn to think, act, love and serve like Christ. We value the scriptures as the source and authority of our faith and seek to understand and live them faithfully in our time and place.
